Bussetti – the company with an Italian name and a passion for chemistry – celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2020. Bussetti is a traditional Austrian SME with 80 employees, and remains a family-run company to this day. Its head office is based in Vienna’s 17th district, Hernals. This is where we determine the course for the company’s future. It is here, too, where we undertake research, coordinate closely with our customers, and manage the company.
The factory in Marchtrenk, in the Hausruck region, was established in 1952. In addition to the former production hall, new production and warehousing facilities are being constantly added, not only to meet current demand, but also to prepare for the future. Our vision is anything but local: around 1,000 customers from 90 countries operating in seven industrial sectors demonstrate the extreme breadth of our operations. Our clear focus on the customer, our passion for research and development, and the potential we offer our employees to grow, have all shaped the way we work and the success we have enjoyed for decades.

Bussetti is more than a supplier, it is also a partner to its customers. Together we work to create customized solutions to master specific challenges. Our product portfolio includes defoamers, release agents, cleaners, emulsifiers, fatting agents, and auxiliaries. We developed our first products for the leather industry. Today, Bussetti also serves the wide-ranging and diverse biotechnology sector, as well as the wood-based material industry, textile care, and pulp & paper industry, and provides solutions for architectural coatings & building material applications. Bussetti products support seamless manufacturing processes.
Sustainability isn’t a slogan at Bussetti, it is established practice. The company’s production facilities are powered by renewable energy, drawn from its own hydroelectric power plant and photovoltaic installation. We avoid the use of petrochemicals as raw materials wherever possible. Many of Bussetti’s key products are made from natural fats and oils.
